In 2019, Dr Stansbury was awarded the Order of the University by NUNM for 30 years of teaching, developing an ethnobotany course, and mentoring students at her Apothecary in Battle Ground.
In 2022 Dr Stansbury won an Excellence in Botanical Literature award for her medical textbook series .
